HE A ROSE
As we get ready to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. I ask everyone to remember what this day really means to each and every one of us. I think sometimes as
christians we forget during the year what
christ had to go through. Let's look upon this day as a day of celebrating instead of all the media hype. Yes that's right. Once again another great time in our christian faith is being over run by the media. This day and Christmas the media forgets what really happened. Isn't it time we give the media something to cover other than the gifts or other
wordly goods. We as
christians should be celebrating his Resurrection every day of are lives. I hope as you all get up in the morning for church just stop and say two things. One HE A ROSE, the second is THANK YOU and I LOVE YOU. I hope where ever you go today that you remember what this day is really about. I love you all and God bless you all. Lets all rejoice for HE IS ALIVE TODAY AND EVERYDAY.
QUESTION OF THE DAY
Me and Donna was having a bible study with the kids last night and at the end I asked her a question that we both debated on for a long time. That one question is:
WHEN DO YOU BELIEVE CHRIST KNEW WHAT HIS PURPOSE ON EARTH WAS FOR?I said when he was conceived by Mary and Donna said when he got baptized. So, with it being GOOD FRIDAY what do you say? The way this all came about is because my Son Eric was leading the bible study from Matthew 27. Why is it that it seems like the only time we tell this story is once a year and on this day. Shouldn't this story be told every day of every year? During the bible study I made a note about in the old testament when God called for a sacrifice it had to be perfect. No blemishes no bruises well Christ was the same way. He had no blemishes no bruises he was the perfect sacrifice to his Father. Just some things to think and really ask yourself is this story important enough to us to share every day that we walk on what Christ has given us? Have a great weekend and remember what this weekend is really about. I love you all and God bless you all.
Fishers of Men
As most of you know I love to fish. In the new testament when Jesus first called to his disciples they were fishing. That ways the way they made a living. Then Jesus said come follow me and I'll make you fishers of men. How many of us ever thought about what that really meant? Can we make a living doing that? Jesus was calling to them to do his works. See not every thing in life is about making money. Sometimes we have to be fishers of men. What does that intell. Well it means we do what Christ has us to do and not worry about weather or not are bills will be paid or will we eat from day to day. If we do what Christ has us to do he will inturn take care of us. See I feel sometimes that we miss the meaning of this. So for those who likes to fish like me. The next time you catch one think about if we could lead someone to the lord as easy. We have to be willing to wait for His calling much like we have to wait when we fish. If we have the patience to wait for the fish to bit shouldn't we have patience to wait on Christ's calling? He's calling now what are we waiting for? I love you all. Take care and God bless you.
